Magical Raid MTB High Atlas – 8 Days Through Majestic Valleys & Berber Villages

After breakfast, meet your guide and load your mountain bikes. You travel to Zergtane, the starting point of your ride, and begin with a descent through the scenic Ghdât Valley, passing colourful villages and terraced fields. Stop for a traditional lunch in Touama, then continue riding toward Laarba Tighdouine, crossing more picturesque villages and enjoying your first evening with a welcoming Berber family.

You leave Laarba Tighdouine and climb through the Aït Inazal valley, surrounded by terraced fields and stone villages. Enjoy a panoramic lunch at a mountain pass before descending through the Aït Boussaid Valley with its multicoloured slopes. The day ends with a transfer to Oukaimeden, the highest ski resort in Morocco, for an overnight stay amidst breathtaking mountains.

Depart Oukaimeden and cross the Tizi n’Ousrtk pass, offering spectacular views over the High Atlas chain. Ride through juniper forests and charming villages, stopping for lunch near Sidi Fares. Continue along wild trails descending to Igli and the village of Asni before reaching Imlil for the night, where you stay in a traditional riad.

After breakfast in Imlil, set off for the Tizi n’Tamterte pass, climbing through dramatic valleys and stone villages. Descend into the Imnane Valley, passing small hamlets and enjoying a tea stop with locals. Continue toward the Kik Plateau overlooking Lalla Takerkoust Lake, before reaching Amzmiz for an overnight stay with a local family.

Ride through the Angale Valley, exploring small Berber villages and terraced fields. Stop for lunch at a natural spring before continuing your journey to Toulkine, where the day ends with another authentic homestay experience.

The final riding day takes you through the Ouled Mtaa plains and across the wild Agafay Desert, a striking landscape of rock and sand dunes. After a final stretch of MTB trails, transfer back to Marrakech for your farewell evening and last night in Morocco.
